[edit] Removing Jewish references/influences on Judith Butler
I'm not sure what's happening with the edits that refer to Butler's Jewish influences, but let's be clear that (1) Butler is Jewish and has made clear in her recent writings and interviews that this is an important aspect of her current work and (2) certain thinkers that are Jewish have very much influenced her latest work and any up-to-date entry on Butler must include them. I would hate to think there's something subversively anti-Semitic about the edits on this page, but I am starting to wonder. Rebecca Kennison 07:22, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- In my latest edits (Jan 11, 2007) I did not remove anything Jewish-related from the entry. But to be clear, I am very used to reverting POV edits to articles that unduly emphasize a certain aspect of a persons's background... e.g. putting "lesbian" or "Jewish" in the opening sentence of the Butler article in an inappropriately politicized way. Once you cited your sources re: Butler's recent work on Jewish Philosophy I had no problems. I initially assumed that your claim was unfounded indentity-politicking... Also it is very wrong for you to threaten me with words like "anti-semitic", especially if you go back and see all the work I've done over the past year improving this article. I am very disappointed you would do that.--Agnaramasi 13:15, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Kmaguir1 disruption on Judith Butler
While I tend to side with Lacatosias' current position that we're better wholly without a foolishly personalistic "criticism" section, we're definitely in bad shape with the rambling "everything nasty, nevermind grammar" stuff that Kmaguire1 has stuck up. I've reported his 3RR, but can't fix it again without being in hot water myself. Aaaghh! Care to fix it for me... my last version with the Nussbaum criticism at least expressed in semi-philosophical tones is bearable. LotLE×talk 02:21, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted because I agree with you that the version of the article with Nussbaum's substantive point is sufficient. The namecalling, i.e. that Butler is "evil," doesn't add anything.--Agnaramasi 04:24, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raymundo Baltazar
Thought you might want to look, if you haven't. I really have no opinion on that AfD; but I know Kmaguir1 made the nomination as an attempt at "revenge" on you. LotLE×talk 08:08, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Also, if you'd like to opine at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alex Martelli and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Danny Yee (second nomination), that would be cool LotLE×talk 20:32, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Judith Butler and amateur wrestling
I saw you reverted my edit about Judith Butler's contributions to amateur wrestling. I agree this isn't something she has made well-known but it certainly isn't vandalism. I'll try to find a reference before updating the article again so you can verify this for yourself.
- Only things for which she actually is well known deserve mention in the opening sentence of the article. And that is her philosophy. If her contriubutions to amateur wrestling are actually verifiable, they would only deserve mention in her bio.
[edit] Perez Hilton
i think i may have accidently over-written some of your edits...i don't quite understand what happened, but somehow something happened that was very unexpected! --emerson7 | Talk 21:55, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I reverted to my last version.. so you can make the changes you intended again and hopefully nothing strange will happen... Maybe you started editing from an older version of the article and so it partially reverted?--Agnaramasi 23:27, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
