[edit] AGRG - Applied Geomatics Research Group
The Applied Geomatics Research Group is based out of the Centre of Geographic Sciences and is a part of Nova Scotia Community Colleges. AGRG is part of the Annapolis Valley Campus located in Middleton Nova Scotia.
[edit] In the beginning
In January 2000, the Applied Geomatics Research Group (AGRG) was established in Middleton with funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI). The initial research focused on the application of LIDAR and CASI data for environmental research in the Annapolis Valley.¹
[edit] Current Research
LiDAR The Applied Geomatics Research Group is one of only three academic institutions in North America to own and operate their own airborne Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) system.
GIS AGRG does a lot of GIS work too - primarly focused around the Nova Scotia area.
