I am Jonathan Ah Kit, of Lower Hutt, New Zealand, a New Zealand Wikipedian. As such, I usually only speak New Zealand English. I have too many websites for me to remember; they are eventually found from http://www.electric.gen.nz/. E-mail sent to me at jonathan@metalab.unc.edu gets to me, subject to my SpamAssassin installation (though lately it seems some of the SMTP servers electric.gen.nz uses have showed up some odd errors for people writing to me at my other email address).
I have just discovered Wikipedia on February 12, 2003, after needing an entry during the course of my studies at the Wellington College of Education. I am now a postgraduate there.
(Yes, I am the hapless author-publisher of ISBN 0-473-09997-7 (catalogue link), a spring break project of mine.)
I have no idea how to pronounce my surname, though there are several misspellings of it going around.
- I am not a relation of the Northern Territory, Australia politician John Ah Kit, nor his son Jonathan Ah Kit.
- To confuse things, however, I briefly lived in Darwin. Rather nice place.
My current favourite books are ISBN 0747551006 and, since I got it as a birthday present a few weeks ago, ISBN 0-553-26375-7.
I'm currently reading ISBN 0-908652-15-1. The only computer game I've ever bothered buying in the multiples of decades I've bothered with computer games is ISBN 0-7845-2066-6. What the latter was doing with an ISBN is beyond me, but then I've seen bookmarks with them (my copy of the very readable ISBN 0-415-92607-6 has ISBN 0-7284-2192-X as a fine example of this).

- Lower Hutt/Hutt City (added and corrected spellings of some suburbs, and noted that Hutt City's name is still Lower Hutt legally (so has somebody else), though many to my chagrin call it Hutt City now)

- Provinces of New Zealand – they’re still used today in a minor form, so why not list them? As a result, I added a list of provincial anniversary days. :)
- On that same tangent, I did a list of New Zealand cities and (historical) provincial districts.
- I've edited some of the articles pertaining to Niue to familiarise myself for a t-coll assignment.
I've contributed quite a bit of stuff, so obviously not everything is listed here. :)
