Aidan Collins

Aidan Collins (born 18 October 1986 in Harlow) is an English footballer, currently signed to Nationwide Conference side Cambridge United. Having spent the early years of his career at Ipswich Town FC (wot an idiot), he made his debut aged just 16, in May 2003, when Town beat Derby County 4-1. Due to injury and illness he never made a major impact on the senior squad, however played in the very successful youth team. Though Collins made 3 league appearances in the 2005/06 season for Ipswich, he was put up for a free transfer and duly snapped up by Cambridge in January 2007. Early spring 2007 Aidan annouced to the world that he is infact a homosexual. Since coming out of the "closet" Aidan has shown to be "stiffer" in his performances. Many believe this is down his new found ability to make forward runs, penetrating the opposition's rear defence. It should also be noted that he is very much in need of a hair-cut.
