[edit] AfD Nomination: ITV Idents and Presentation
I've nominated the article ITV Idents and Presentation for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that ITV Idents and Presentation satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ITV Idents and Presentation. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of ITV Idents and Presentation during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. --tgheretford (talk) 22:05, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] BBC Parliament image
Hi. Just wanted to let you know that I have shrunk Image:11 19 2006 11 59 22.jpg down to a much smaller size and reuploaded it as Image:BBC Parliament ident.jpg for use with the respective articles. The original image is unfortunately too big to constitute fair use on Wikipedia plus the other image has a bette filename for finding the article etc. Hope you don't mind. Thanks for your other ident related work, ITV Idents and Presentation is really good and I have done my best to save it from deletion so that it can be improved. Wikiwoohoo 19:59, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- I try to keep to around 400px, no more really than 500px if I can help it. I have resized several of the images in the ITV idents article to 400px. That's my general standard, other's follow their own. Wikiwoohoo 22:51, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

- Don't worry, you don't have to apologise, you don't cause me any inconvenience. I hope you had a very enjoyable Christmas and that you have a very happy new year! Wikiwoohoo 14:08, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ITV Idents and Presentation → ITV television presentation
Hi. As part of the big cleanup of all the articles nominated for deletion late last year, I have been working this evening on the ITV Idents and Presentation article. I have nominated a large number of the images for deletion as part of this, but also renamed the article as ITV television presentation since it sounds a little bit better. Would you like to upload new images of the idents used both now and in the past for each channel discussed within the article? By this I mean the ITV 3 and 4 sections as well as possibly the ITV News Channel and ITV Play. My idea was to have at least one ident image per look that each channel had. What are your thoughts?
Also, the images I have now tagged for deletion are as follows:
- Image:ITVNC Ceased broadcasting.jpg
- Image:Itv-slide.jpg
- Image:Itv-ecp-other.jpg
- Image:Itv-videoecp.jpg
- Image:ITV2-next.jpg
- Image:Itv-menu.jpg
- Image:ITV2-slide.jpg
- Image:ITV2-ECP-mobile.jpg
- Image:ITV2-movies promo.jpg
- Image:Itv-promo2.jpg
- Image:Launch-ITV3-Ident-Part1.jpg
- Image:Launch-ITV3-Ident-Part2.jpg
- Image:Launch-ITV3-Ident-Part3.jpg
- Image:Itv-soapstar.jpg
- Image:Image-Itv-promo1 Xmas 06.jpg
- Image:Itv-ecp.jpg
- Image:Itv-04ecp.jpg
- Image:Itv-promo next+then xmas05.jpg
- Image:Itv-menu xmas05.jpg
- Image:ITV2-promo.jpg
- Image:ITV2-ECP.jpg
- Image:Itv-promo with programme name.jpg
- Image:ITV2-break-bumper.jpg
- Image:Itv-promo xmas05.jpg
- Image:Itv-bike.jpg
- Image:Itv-lake.jpg
- Image:Itv-market.jpg
- Image:Itv-beach-breakbumper.jpg
- Image:Itv-breakbumper.jpg
- Image:Itv-lake-breakbumper.jpg
- Image:Itv-market-breakbumber.jpg
- Image:Itv-promo1.jpg
I know that is a lot and I'm sorry to have had to do that, but it means that the article stays and can be improved from the high standard you started it in. Wikiwoohoo 22:38, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Skybroadband.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Skybroadband.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
