Air Gumbo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Air Gumbo is an airline based in Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. It is a proposed low-cost airline start-up seeking to launch services from New Orleans to cities in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. It planned to launch scheduled services in November 2005, but the destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina apparently forced the airline to reconsider that plan, and as of March 2006, the airline has not started operations.
[edit] History
The airline was established on 20 February 1998 and is wholly owned by Ralston Champagnie.
[edit] Fleet
Air Gumbo plans to acquire Bombardier CRJ family aircraft and Boeing 737 aircraft.
