Aizawa Incident

The Aizawa Incident, is the name of the incident in which Major General Tetsuzan Nagata died on August 12, 1935, assassinated with a sword by a Kodoha officer, Lieutenant Colonel Saburo Aizawa. Tetsuzan Nagata was killed for supposedly putting the Army "in the paws of high finance". It was in retaliation for the Military Academy Incident. Nagata was posthumously promoted to lieutenant general, and his assassin was shot by firing squad.
