Aku Louhimies

Aku Louhimies (b. 3 July 1968 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish film director and screenwriter.

He studied at the University of Helsinki and in University of Art and Design.

Making film since 1995 Louhimies has directed some 15 films and written for approximately 7 films alongside his directing. He directed the 2005 film Paha maa working with actors such as Mikko Leppilampi and Pamela Tola. The film won best Nordic film in 2005 in Gothenburg.
He also directed Restless (film) known as Levottomat in Finland.
