Akutaq

Akutaq (ah-GOO-duck), also known as Eskimo ice cream, is a delicacy cherished in rural Alaska, meant to sustain, nourish, and energize[1], consisting of whipped fat mixed with berries, with optional additions such as fish and sugar. Akutaq is a Yupik word that means "something mixed".[2]
Akutaq consists of the basic ingredients:
- Reindeer fat
- Seal oil
- Berries
- Sugar
- Water
