Alberto García Aspe

Alberto García Aspe (born May 11, 1967 in Mexico City) was a Mexican soccer midfielder, one of the all-time appearance leaders for the Mexican national team. His debut was on the date of April 26, 1988, during a match where in the final score came out winning in an impressive 4-1 victory against Honduras. Garcia Aspe has participated in 109 matches, scoring a total 21 goals. In addition, Garcia was included in three World Cups (1994, 1998 and 2002).
In his club career that started in 1984, García Aspe played for UNAM Pumas, Necaxa, River Plate, América, and Puebla. For his country, he compiled 109 caps, scoring 21 goals. García Aspe played in three World Cups (1994, 1998, and 2002).
Aspe was rewarded 4 Championships at a professional level with América, and the only penalty kick he'd had miss in his entire career was in the first game of the second round at the 1994 U.S World Cup during a series of penalties with opposing team Bulgaria.
Alberto García Aspe is currently a commentator with Televisa.
