Aleksandar "Sasha" Pavlović (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар "Саша" Павловић; born November 15, 1983 in Bar, SFR Yugoslavia (now Montenegro)) is a Serbian professional basketball player in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Pavlović, who was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 19th pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, played for the Jazz for one season prior to joining the Cavaliers. He averaged 4.8 points per game for the Jazz in his rookie season, and again averaged 4.8 points per game for the Cavaliers in his second year. After a rare appearance in the starting lineup on January 30, 2007, Pavlović scored a career-high 24 points against the Golden State Warriors.[1] Since then, he has seen increased playing time and is now the Cavaliers starting Shooting guard.
In his four NBA seasons, Pavlović has held a very consistent scoring average of 4.8 points per game. Pavlović scored 4.8 points per game in 2003-04 with Utah, 4.8 points per game in 2004-05 with Cleveland, 4.5 points per game in 2005-06 with Cleveland, and was on pace again to score 4.8 points per game in 2006-07 until his breakout game against the Warriors. His current scoring average is up to 8.1 points per game,[2] due in part to averaging 11.2 points per game in February 2007.[3]
Pavlović has chosen to play for the Serbian national team after Montenegro's secession.[4]
