Alex Gough (luger)

Alex Gough (born in May 12, 1987 in Calgary, Alberta) is a Canadian Olympic luge racer.[1] She competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.[2] She was seen as a surprise qualifier at the Turin games[2], with most expecting 2010 to be her first Olympics.[3] In the season preceding the games, she ranked 11th at the Calgary World Cup, and 3rd at the Canadian championships.[2] Her career highlights including coming in fourth at the 2003 Canadian championships. [2]
At the Turin games, she ranked 20th overall in the Women's Singles luge.[4]
Gough lives and trains in Calgary, where she attended high school with other top athletes, at the National Sport School.[5] [1]
