Alexander ALX100

The Alexander ALX100 is the name of a bus body built by Alexander of United Kingdom between 1997 and 2000, which were for new generation (mainly low-floor) bus chassis produced since late 1990s. It was one of the ALX-series, which accounted for 5 different models, the others being the ALX200, 300, 400 and 500, which all featured the same styling on the front and rear panels.
The ALX100 was a minibus body, typically mounted onto a Mercedes-Benz O814D Vario van chassis, and could seat between 27 and 31 passengers. The bodywork is notable for the long rear overhang, and also being the only body in the ALX-series to lack the curvy front panels, since the design retained most of the van's original cab.
The O814D/ALX100 combination was a favourite with Midland operators, due to their small size. Many were also bought by Stagecoach and Arriva.
