Dominico Aida, or Ida - identified during Kefauver hearings as leading Mafioso in Rochester. I don’t know anything about him, anyone????

Angelo Amico - acting boss from 1984 until 1988, son of former leading mobster Patsy Amico

Paquale Amico “Patsy” - father of Angelo, identified during Kefauver hearings as leading Mafioso in Rochester. Possible Rochester capo before Valentis.

Samuel Amico - identified as a Bonanno soldier in 1983 senate hearings. Since the Valentis and Rene Piccarreto were also identified as Bonannos, more assumable he was a Rochester soldier. Lived in Rochester.

Anthony Arena – born 1914, died 2001, same story as Samuel Amico

William “Billy” Barton – associate, ran gambling rackets for B-Team.

Robert R. Brucato - mentioned in 1981 court case of Russotti, Piccarreto, etc. It was stated several of the defendants had advised him what to testify during two seperate hearings on OC in Rochester. Born February 13, 1941, reportedly stilI living in Rochester. don’t know what his status was, but I suspect/guess he was made. I also suspect he is related, maybe a son, of Rosario Brucato. Anyone????

Rosario Brucato “Robert” - identified as Robert Brucato by FBN as leading Mafioso in Rochester. Since this was in the 1950s, this excludes Robert S. Brucato, who was born in the 1940s. I’m not in a position to find out of they are related, but I suspect they were. Does anyone know????

Salvatore “Sammy Camps” Campanella – alleged soldier in rochester Mafia, held union position, figured in Rochester mob trials, aquitted.

James Cannarozzo – associate, involved in unions with Campanella and Marino.

Dominic Celestino “Sonny” – associate, loyal to Valentis, reportedly still alive

Anthony Chirico – son of Rosario, alleged associate

Dominick Chirico – brother of Rosario, alleged soldier

Rosario Chirico – soldier in DiDio crew, loyal to Valenti.

Nicholas Colangelo – associate of Marotta, figured in one of Marotta’s 1990s arrests.

Anthony Colombo – soldier in Marino crew, figured in Russotti trials.

Anthony D’Agortino – Identified by FBN during Kefauver Hearings as a leading Mafioso in East-Rochester. Anybody knows anything about him???

Anthony “Tony Dags” D’Agostino associato (Marotta)

Albert DeCanzio – former bodyguard of Frank Valenti, alleged soldier, one of the first Rochester mobsters to cooperate with government.

Eugene “Gene” DeFrancesco – capo under Valenti, driving force behind Rochester bombings on public buildings. Demoted by Russotti. Reportedly still living, preobly in Florida.

Thomas Didio soldato – soldier loyal to Valenti, cousin to A-Team member Marotta. Suspected of passing info about B-Team to Marotta. Later headed B-Team. Eventually murdered.

Louis DiGuilo – B-Team figure, alleged hitman. Caught by police just after he shot Fiorino.

Angelo DiMarco – associate, target of attempted assassination by Russotti faction, probably because of his appearance before Grand Jury investigating Rochester OC.

John Fiorino – alleged soldier, headed union for Russotti, eventually murdered. Angelo Amico associate Misuraca took over his position within the union.

Nicholas “The Bugster” Fosco associato (Marotta)

Betti Frasetto – Wife of Frank frassetto, figured in Rochester mob trials of 1970s.

Francesco “Frank” Frassetto – alleged soldier, B-Team member

Frank P. Frassetto – son of Frank, recently busted with his brother

Philip Frassetto – son of Frank, recently busted.

Joseph Geniola – soldier, figured in Russotti trials.

August Giannavola – identified as Bonanno soldier in 1983 senate hearings, but so where the valentis and Piccarreto. Lived in Irondequoit. (Sam Russotti lived there too) born in 1921, probably still living.

Anthony Gingello Jr. – nephew of Sam Gingello, operates Untouchables bar. Put up $100,000 bail for Marotta in his latest drug rap. Probably associate, although sometimes claimed to a leader in the 1990s of what was left of the mob. Questioned in gambling case in 1993.

Anthony Gingello Sr. – brother of Sammy Gingello, father of Tony Gingello jr. Figured in Rochester Family at the time of the Massaro murder. Alleged associate

Salvatore “Sammy G” Gingello - capo under Valenti, underboss in Russotti regime. Murdered in April 1978 (carbomb). Associates and bodyguards Tom Taylor and Thomas Torpey wounded. Gingello was born on October 24, 1939.

Louis J. Imburgia – not sure about him, but during Gingello trial, government seemed to indicate he was a member of the Rochester Mafia. Anyone????

Charles Indovino - alleged soldier, born 1922, anyone knows anything about him???

?? LaCorto - identified as a capo in the testimony of Joseph “Spike” Lanovara. I’ve read his first name might be Raymond, but I could find no records of anyone with that name in the Rochester area. I also think Raymond might be a confusion with the Sopranos character with almost the same name.

Joseph “Spike” Lanovara - soldier, made by Valenti in same ceremony as Marotta. Later cooperated with government.

Anthony Leonardo – mob lawyer, represented corrupt police figures in 1970s, later figured in 1990s trial of Marotta. Allegedly gave Ranieri the order to kill Greece, NY, clubowner Vaccaro.

Joseph LoDolce – soldier, figured in Russotti trials

William Lupo – capo under Jake Russo. Said to be number two or three under Costanze Valenti. Born on May 12, 1927. Murdered in February 1970. Anyone knows anything else???

Joseph Margiotta – associate of Indovino, anybody knows something about him????

Richard “Dick” Marino – soldier in Lupo crew, took over crew after Lupo’s murder. Later appointed underboss. Figured in russotti trials, died in prison.

Thomas Marotta – soldier under Valente, capo under Russotti. Said to be leader of remains of Rochester Mafia. Associated with Sammy Gingello’s nephew Tony. Gave phony induction ceremony to informant Anthony Delmonti.

Reigo J. Marterano - alleged soldier, born in 1935. Anyone knows some info on him????

Vincent “Jimmy Hammer” Massaro – soldier, killed in 1973, led to many investigations into Rochester Mafia.

Nicholas Mastrodonato – associate, C-Team member, killed by Dominic Taddeo.

Sam Minkoff – associate of Valenti, involved in gambling rackets with Valenti, Dominic Chiricio and with the Buffalo Todaros in the late 1960. Busted in 1970.

Angelo Misuraca – ran union post while associated with Amico, kicked out of union

Angelo Monachino – soldier loyal to Valenti, brother of Charles. Turned government wittnes.

Anthony Oliveri – soldier, turned government wittnes.

Donald Paone – soldier, figured in Russotti trials

Christopher Peliera – Indovino associate, anybody know anything????

Rocco Pelligrini – identified by FBN as leading Rochester Mafioso in 1950s, born in November 1892, died in May 1977. Interesting sidenote, Pelligrini died in Italy, as an American Consulate employee. Not to be confused with White Plains based Genovese capo Rocco Pelligrino.

Thomas Pelusio – associate, C-Team member, wounded by Tadeo, Pelusio’s brother Gerald was killed in the attack.

Quinto Leo Polidori - enforcer for Rochester mob, convicted in 1975 f9or the beating of a loan shark cusomer. Later moved to Arizona, were he was employed at a firm owned by Edward Eugene Frederico Jr., also formerly from Rochester. Note that the Rochester mob was somehow connected to Joseph Bonanno, who of course also resided in Arizona.

Loren Piccarreto – son of Rene Piccarreto, acting boss after Russotti’s demise.

Rene Piccarreto – underboss to Valenti, consiglieri to Russotti. Father of Loren, figured in Russotti trials

Vincent Rallo – alleged associate, testified in hearings on Rochester OC, reportedly went into WPP. Dick Marino tried to lead his testimony and was indicted for it.

Albert Ranieri – low level associate of Marotta, figured in Marotta’s 1990s trials.

Joseph Rossi – soldier in Valenti years, appointed capo by Russotti. Figured in Russotti trials.

Jack Russo – associate of Marotta, anybody knows any details???

Jake Russo - real name Giacomino Russolesi, took over as capo of Rochester after Costanze and Frank Valenti’s Apalachin troubles. Murdered in 1964, allegedly on orders of Frank Valenti, who at the time was regaining control of the Rochester mob. Anyone know anything else????

Samuel “Red” Russotti – consiglieri to Valenti, assumed control of Rochester Family when Valenti was forced to get out.

Joseph Vincent Sciolino - an alleged soldier, moved to Arizona in 1970s, where he was like Polidori employed by Frederico. Convicted with Polidoro on assault charges, and also on a federal charge of dealing in stolen checks. I couldn’t find out if Frederico was somehow connected, but he was accused of being so in Arizona. Anybody knows????

Other notorious Rochester transplants in Arizona were former fire department chief Joseph Nalore, who allegedly helped Angelo Monachino with several arson cases, and former Rochester deputy police commissioner William Hamill. Hamill leaved the police department when he he was about to be charged with leaking information to mobsters in gambling cases.

Robert Silveri – soldier, figured in Russotti trials.

Dominic Taddeo – feared B-Team hitman, later alligned with A-Team.

Thomas Taylor and Thomas Torpey – A-team members, bodyguards for Sammy Gingello, wounded in murder of Gingello.

Joseph Tiraborelli – associate, close to Gingello.

Vincent Tobacco – status unknown to me, indicted with Rosario Chirico in 1970s for loan sharking.

Dino Tortarice – associate, C-Team member, murdered in 1983 by Tadeo.

Richard Tribunella – also identified in 1983 senate hearings as Bonanno, but again lived in Rochester. Probably Rochester soldier. Born in 1929, died in 1996

George Trieste – associate, anybody knows any details????

Joseph “Joe T” Trieste – soldier, figured in Russotti trials.

John “Flap” Trivigno – associate, figured in Russotti trials. President of union.

Angelo Vaccaro - Was close to Frank Valenti when Valenti took control of Rochester in the mid 1960s. Claimed to be a former Pittsburgh Family associate. Part of the notorious Chiricio crew .

Costenze “Stanley” Valenti - boss of Rochester mob in mid/late 1950s. Detained at Apalachin with brother Frank, called several times to appear before Grand Juries. (1950s-1958) capo (1958-)

Frank Valenti – boss of Rochester mob after disappearance of Russo. Close with Pittsburgh capo Antonio Ripepi. Numerous arrests in Pittsburgh. Later forced to step down by Russotti regime. Tried once more to take back Rochester rackets when Russotti was jailed, but failed. Eventually left town, reportedly to Arizona.

There were also a few other minor B-Team associates, all of them eventually cooperated with the government, and were more or less responsible for the 1979 trials against the B-Team for Gingello’s murder. They were Rod Starkweather, Tim Ryan, Carlos Bates and Gary Haak.

There were also two figures I came across, not certain of their involvement. Their social club was bombed by the B-Team. They were Charles Sciano and Mike “Bootsy” Bucciarelli. Anybody familiar with these guys????
