A tag has been placed on StatPlus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. The way the article was written, and the way it is written now is plain advertisement. I have, again, put it up for a speedy deletion. If you are involved in the company that has written the programme (seen the style of writing I suspect strongly that that is the case), I would advise you not to recreate the article, since that would be a conflict of interest. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Trying to add talk again. Why you mark page with 11 item? Page doesn't contain any positive adj. and has references. If you see page of MedCalc you will see some positives, not only useful information. But I was trying to add only useful information without positives.

P.S. Also why my discussion is deleted without any action? I'm adding this text (discussion) for the third time, but still now answers. Also I don't want to add any future article for other products, if some are deleted and my "talk" is deleted too!

P.S. I added {hangon} on the top of the page and a note on the article's talk page, but no action except new deleting. :( It seems Wiki now isn't right place for software. Only for ads.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Alexeysim06 (talk • contribs).

You are clearly involved in the software, the earlier versions were an advertisement. I have notified you of that on the talkpage, you seem to have a conflict of interest here. You could have come to ask for help (methods for that are described in your welcome-message).

About page-deletions, if a speedy is added, and you want to contest that (as is written in the speedy template), you have to add the {{hangon}} template. That is what you did. Directly after that, you have to tell on the talkpage why exactly you think that the page should stay. In this case, you did not have much of a chance.

Regarding other pages, it may be that they are positive too, but then someone will have to contest that on e.g. the talkpage of those pages. That another page is not neutral, does not give you an excuse to make a similar page. Hope this helps (I will copy this to your talkpage too, this may get deleted again, since the page does not exist. Good morning. Thanks for your email. I am sorry, I don't understand your question fully, but I will try and explain. Wikipedia is not meant to be an advertising service. When pages get created by relatively new users, which look quite like an advertisement, they run the risk they get speedily deleted early on. This happens even faster when there is a suspicion of a conflict of interest.

If you want to start a subject on a page where you are involved with, it is best to stay a bit away from it, best is to add a request, or maybe a very small article (a 'stub'), which is very minimal (only containing one or two sentences, and an appropriate {{stub}}-template. From then, wait until others write more of the article, or see what their judgement is (you can of course repair some errors if they are getting in the document, but don't add more info to the article).

If you find other articles that are too much an advertisement, you can add an appropriate 'warning' template to that or start a discussion on the talkpage and wait until others answer. I see you were questioning MedCalc on the talkpage (which is an appropriate way to go). If I would judge the situation, that article has now been edited by 13 different people (some vandalism, which got reverted by at least one very experienced editor), and grew from a two-line page to a reasonable article in just over one year (you see that it can take very long before an article gets to a decent version). I would not judge this as advertising with this page-history, that would be different if this was the work of only one editor. Hope this explains your question.
