[edit] Parkside Church
Parkside Church is a non-denominational body of Christian believers located in a southeast suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. The self-proclaimed mission of Parkside Church is "to see unbelieving people become committed followers of Jesus Christ". The cornerstone of the church building is inscribed with Psalm 138:2 which says "…for you have exalted above all things your name and your word".
The church began in 1968 when a small group of businessmen came together for weekly prayer meetings on Cleveland's east side. Attendance grew, along with a conviction to consider the formation of a local church. Parkside Church, originally known as the Chapel, formally became a church in 1972. The church continued to grow and in 1983 after the original pastor was called to the mission field and interim pastors filled the role for three years, Alistair Begg accepted the call to be the senior pastor and arrived with his wife and children from Scotland.
