[edit] History
Alizé was created when Marie-Claude combined her family's cognac with Jean Paul Lafragette family's exotic jams. In 1984 Jean Paul was introduced to the Kobrand Corporation at the WSWA in New Orleans. A common company known as L & L was created to produce and distribute Alizé, which means 'a gentle tradewind' in French. In 1986, Alizé Gold Passion was introduced in the United States where it became a success from its innovative characteristics that seduced new consumers. The partnership between the Lafragettes and Kobrand Corporation made Alizé the category leader in the world of cognac based cocktails, a fusion between tradition and innovation.
