Alorica Inc. is a leading customer service management provider that supports the entire customer service lifecycle, from front-office customer interaction to back-office reverse logistics. Alorica deliver fully integrated solutions such as customer interaction management, service logistics, depot and onsite repair services, in-home integration, as well as total eBusiness solutions. With global contact centers, depot repair and parts fulfillment facilities, Alorica goals are to provide "best-in-class" service management, technology, people and processes.

The average salary for a full time tier 2 telephone support agent is $8.00/hr.^{[citation needed]} The company focuses strictly on the bottom line, strategically locating it's call centers in high density/low income areas where minimally technical oriented people are available for low wages (25 cents above minimum wage in most areas, 50 cents above in California), resulting in an extremely high employee turnover rate (not unusual for the call center industry)^{[citation needed]}

Alorica was founded in 1999 by Andy Lee (b. 1972). Mr. Lee is currently Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Alorica Inc. Mr. Lee remains the controlling shareholder of the company. Alorica does a substantial amount of business with Gateway. Mr. Lee was also elected in 2004 as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer, of Gateway Computers, with responsibility for overseeing and implementing Gateway’s IT strategy, including the operations of Gateway.com.

According to Gateway's 2005 Proxy Statement to Shareholders, Gateway acquired an approximate 17% interest (on an as-converted basis)in Alorica Inc. to provide outsourced customer support services to Gateway and it's customers. The controlling shareholder of Alorica, Mr. Lee, was elected to Gateway’s executive team in April 2004 and Mr. Lee’s spouse is the current Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs of Alorica.

Gateway states it entered into an approximate $4 million software development arrangement with Alorica and paid approximately $42.5 million and $0.5 million for services during 2004, 2003 and 2002, respectively. This growth in services provided by Alorica is a result of Gateway's increased presence in third-party retail and the consolidation of their "best-in-class" service and support relationships. Gateway states that it expects to continue to utilize the services of Alorica in 2005 and beyond.
