Concerning:
- "This refers to a passage in Works and Days by Hesiod, who advised the early Greek farmers, "First get an ox, then a woman." -
I'm afraid the passage literaly reads: "(ll. 405-413) First of all, get a house, and a woman and an ox for the plough -- a slave woman and not a wife, to follow the oxen as well " - so shouldn't it be corrected ?
