the background image is available on GoogleEarth Pro;
the GIS composite image (more than a dozen data layers) was produced wholly by myself;
it was produced using software (ArcGIS 9.1) licensed to the Amboseli Trust for Elephants;
it is reproduced for scientific and education purposes;
it is germane to the article since it shows the entire extent of the ecosystem.
