Talk:AMD Live!
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
What is AMD live, i mean really. Does anyone use it and why does it require such massive specs, is AMD live a file sharing program? Or a substitute for windows media center? Or an abstract thought moving along a three dimentional plane?Paige Master 04:51, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- No, just like Intel VIIV, it provides a spec that AMD "thinks" it is suitable for running Windows Media Center. It also provides a series of softwares to enhance the entertainment experience, though most of them are of reduced function mode and are not freewares.:(

Then why is it an option in (The ASUS Crosshair's) BIOS? [Lookie here to see!]
Just curious. --DEMONIIIK 07:22, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- That's the so called "Away mode" similar to Intel ViiV's "Quick Resume", but AMD decides that the "Away mode" to be enabled through BIOS, and you know that means "every" motherboard have this option (if the manufacturer decides to include the option in the BIOS, and the SB supports, which AMD did not specify)... I know it's weird... But I don't know about Intel Viiv, "Quick resume" enabled by default? I don't know. :(--202.71.240.18
