Ami Dolenz

Ami Bluebell Dolenz (born January 8, 1969 in Burbank, California) is an American actress, the daughter of Micky Dolenz and British television presenter Samantha Juste. Her paternal grandparents were the films actors George Dolenz and Janelle Johnson.
She has appeared in many movies and TV shows, most notably as Tony Danza's daughter in the 1989 motion picture, She's Out of Control. She also appeared in the TV sitcom Ferris Bueller as Sloane Peterson, previously portrayed by Mia Sara. Her first starring role came in 1992's Miracle Beach, in which she played a genie. In 2003, she played Heather Dombrowski in the independent film Mr. Id.
Currently, Dolenz and her husband, Jerry Trimble, who she married in 2002 [1], manage KidPix Productions, a company that stages birthday parties as movie shoots. She performs with the Write Act Repertory Theatre, and also co-owns Bluebell Boutique, an Internet custom jewelry shop, with her mother.

- Despite having portraying a karate student on Growing Pains, Ami is NOT a real-life martial artist ("All they taught me was one move for the taping," she insists). Her husband, however, is a retired world-champion kickboxer.
- When Ami was young, her mother tied bells on her shoes...so as to know where the little girl was at all times.
