Amin al-Majaj

Amin al-Majaj (Arabic: أمين المجاج, transliteration: Āmeen al-Majjaj) was a titular mayor of Al-Quds, formerly the neighborhoods of East Jerusalem which were occupied and annexed by Jordan during the years 1949-1967.
Al Majaj held the position from 1967 to 1999. No successor was chosen for this position which did not entail direct responsibility for municipal services. The position was not recognized by Israel.
