[edit] A Photograph and an introduction to Bagchi's contributions needed
It will be great if somebody can supply a photograph of Prof Bagchi. Further, I have edited the introductory part to make his politico-ideological inclinations more explicit, which is, as it seems to me, somewhat discarded when he is called an economist. On the other hand, the designation of "political economist" is more inclusive, which allows us to include his interdisciplinary contributions - economic, statistical, political, sociological and historical contributions.
