"And She Was" is the name of a rock song from the 1985 Talking Heads album Little Creatures written by David Byrne. According to Byrne, the song was written about a girl he knew who used to take LSD in a field next to a Yoo-hoo beverage factory in Baltimore, Maryland.

- "And She Was" was parodied on Sesame Street in 1989 under the title "Beginning Middle and End". Influenced by David Byrne, the animated segment was made by Sally Cruikshank which explains how a story is put together beginning, middle, and end with the help of the main character, Seymour.
- "And She Was" was featured in the 1989 film Look Who's Talking during a montage of the mother-to-be Molly preparing for her child's arrival.
- In the 2005 movie Bewitched, the song plays as Isabel (Samantha) transforms her world from magic to normal in her quest to be a regular person instead of a witch.
- It is heard in the 2005 teen superhero comedy "Sky High"
