André Strappe

André Strappe (born February 23, 1928 in Bully-les-Mines, Pas-de-Calais – died February 9, 2006) was a french football (soccer) player in striker role, and later manager.
In career played for Lille OSC (1948-58), Le Havre AC (1958-61), FC Nantes (1961-63) and SC Bastia (1963). He scored 116 goals in Ligue 1 and won same tournament in 1954 with Lille. He also played for two times Coupe de France (1953, 1955).
For France national football team he played 23 matches and scored 4 goals. He participated at 1954 FIFA World Cup in Switzerland. After retired he managed Bastia, Tavaux, Châteauroux and Le Havre. He died at 77 years old.
