[edit] Concerns
Andrea Bocelli has a wonderful voice. .......
I have two, reading this article. I've never read his book, so I don't feel qualified to make these changes but (1) it's called a "memoir," so I don't see how it is a thinly veiled anything-- it's clearly about him; (2) the back cover says "Here Bocelli reveals the anguish of his blindness and the transcendent experience of singing;" the Amazon comments also clearly suggest that he talks about his blindness quite a bit in the book. So it seems inaccurate to claim "He will not discuss his disability." I think someone who knows more about this than me needs to clean this article up.QuixoticKate 01:03, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- I've read the Italian version of the book. It is most definitely an autobiography, but Bocelli creates a character called Amos to represent him. As it's a literary device and not an attempt to "thinly disguise" anything, I've removed the reference. (And corrected the publication date.)
- Bocelli does talk about his blindness in the book, it's the press he won't discuss it with. However, there might be exceptions I don't know about and I think saying that he always plays down his disability was veering too much into opinion so I deleted the whole sentence. [edit] Fawning
I love him, his voice is just extraordinary and unique!!! GO ON BOCELLI!!
Wow his album "Amore" is terrific. And his duet with Christina Aguillera was surprising!
[edit] Paula
After the sentence about Andrea Bocelli working with the American Idol finalists, it says "Paula bored him to death." What does this mean?

- Speaking of which, where is the source for "He was especially impressed with Katharine McPhee"? --Mr. Orange 62.168.125.219 16:53, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] TV Appearance Question
Earlier today, Bocelli was on the ABC broadcast of the Disney Christmas Parade. He sang a song during it, but I'm not exactly sure what it was, as I tuned in after they had already announced what the song was. Did anyone happen to catch the name of it? I'm assuming the song was off of his newest album, Amore, but I could be wrong. Answerthis 23:52, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] This Article Requires A Major Cleanup, NOW!
Although one may think he has a nice voice, he is NOT an operatic tenor. He has also never sang in an opera, just concert hall. He is a pop singer and will always be a pop singer. When people refer to him as a tenor it makes me ill. Please listen to a real tenor (Franco Corelli, Mario Lanza, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Alfredo Kraus, Joseph Schmidt. etc.!) before you label this... pop singer... as an operatic tenor! - NewYork1956 04:53, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
