"Another Sad Love Song" was the second single released from Toni Braxton's eponymous debut album. After the success of "Love Shoulda Brought You Home, Toni followed up with this simmering R&B mid-tempo single. The single proved to be a smash success giving Toni her first Top 10 Hot 100 Hit (#7) and narrowly missed the top of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Chart by peaking at #2.
The video was released in two different versions. The first version was filmed in black and white and featured the original music. The second version was filmed in color and was remixed to appeal to a wider audience. Both versions were successful and stayed in heavy rotation during the summer of 1993.
"Another Sad Love Song" garnered Toni her first Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in 1994.
