Anthony Adams (born on June 18, 1980 in Detroit, Michigan) is a player in the National Football League. He plays for the Chicago Bears, and previously played for the San Francisco 49ers. He graduated from Penn State University. He was drafted by the 49ers with 57th pick in 2003 NFL Draft. He was used sparingly on the 49ers defense. Adams is very wide and thick but surprisingly quick and agile for his body type. He pursues well over short distances. He is very tough and tenacious. He usually plays with great leverage. He doesn't command many double-teams and he doesn't have great pure speed or burst when getting after the quarterback. Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Adams attended Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Detroit, Michigan and was a letterman in football and in track&field as a shot-put thrower. In football, he was a USA Today All-USA Honorable Mention selection. Anthony Adams graduated from Martin Luther King Jr. High School in 1998.

Adams attended Penn State University and finished his college career with 6.5 sacks, 166 tackles, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
