Antin Paplynsky (Ukrainian: Антоній Паплинський; Anatoniy ?)(1870?-1920?)
Kyivan bandura maker who crafted instruments from 1905-1918. Shot in 1919. Instruments were diatonically tuned with 32-36 strings. Paplynsky was a popular bandura maker because of the sound quality of his instruments. In 1909 he received a Grand Prix award in Paris at the World Trade Exhibition. His instruments were sought after not only in Ukraine, but in Russia and Canada.
