Antonio Cruz

Antonio Cruz (born October 31, 1971) is a professional road bicycle racer for Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team. In 1999 Cruz was the USPRO Criterium Champion. In 2000 he finished 3rd at the USPRO National Championships Criterium in Downer’s Grove, Illinois. In 2004 and 2006 Tony Cruz won the Tour de Nez. He also finished fourth on stage 16 of the 2004 Vuelta a España. Cruz has ridden for the Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team in the UCI ProTour for the majority of his career. In 2006 he rode for the Toyota United Team. Cruz raced as a junior rider for several years before stopping between 1990 and 1995 due to "burn out." He began racing again in 1996 with the Reno Wheelman and saw extreme success.
