[Spoilers] The story of the Endymion novels revolves around an immortality treatment (really a resurrection tool, I guess) that revives anyone that has accepted the "cruciform" (a kind of cross-shaped symbiont). The Catholic Church controls the process by which this happens, and one of the people with the cruciform is Paul Duré. Every time Duré is resurrected, he is killed anew. -Pat 20:59, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
