Anvar Ali

Anvar Ali (born1966) is a remarkable name in the post modern period of Malayalam poetry.
Mazhakkalam(Kottayam: D. C. Books, 1999) is his collection of 27 poems. This book has won the Kanakasree Award of Kerala Sahithya Academy in 2000. He is a film writer too who has co-written the scenario of Maargam the filmic vertion of the famous Malayalam short fiction Pithrutharppanam with Rajiv Vijayrakhavan and dr. S. P. Ramesh. Now he is residing at Thiruvananthapuram.
