Ao Kuang
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ao-Kuang is the dragon god of the eastern seas in Chinese mythology and the king of the four dragon kings. His son and heir is Ao-Ping who was killed by the prankster Li-Nezha. Ao-Kuang attacked Li-Nezha for revenge but lost and was ridiculed by being turned into a blue snake. Despite being the king of the dragon kings and thus all of the Long-Wang (dragons) he is still bound by the rules of the Jade Emperor. He could be linked to the Azure Dragon (Chinese constellation) as both are northern gods from Chinese mythology though the tortoise is associated with the lands and people and Ao-Kuang with the seas. His brothers are Ao Chin, Ao Jun and Ao Shun.
