Aoife O Leary
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aoife O Leary is the lead singer and co-founder of the Irish Rock band Moth Complex based in Dublin, Ireland. She started off singing as backing vocalist for a number of local bands. She credits her brother (Fionan O Leary of the Mexican pets) for helping her get into the music business. While doing backing vocals for bands, she started getting her own ideas about music and started to develop a plan to create her own. She couldn't play an instrument but learned to use audio software and bought a music sequencer. After a while of singing with different bands, she decide to quit to concentrate on her own project.
[1] At this time she decided to approach Gerry Owens (of Lluther/Skindive) to help her work on her project, Moth Complex. Owens already knew Aoife and agreed to help. They then began work on the album Core.
[2]
Currently, they are both putting the finishing touches to the album Core. It is expect to be released this year.[3]
