[edit] Fair use in 1972 Summer Olympics
This is a historical photograph of one of the persons killing most of the Israeli Olympic team during the 1972 Summer Olympics, an event which became headline news around the world. The inclusion of this image adds significantly to the article on the 1972 Olympic Games and locating a free replacement is either impossible or extremely difficult. The quality of the image is rather poor and it seems unlikely that this image will detract from the commercial value of the original. Valentinian (talk) 20:52, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use in Operation Wrath of God
I am extending the above rationale to include the use of this image in the article Operation Wrath of God. The 1972 massacre, especially its shock and audacity, prompted this response operation, and this picture is important in demonstrating this connection.--Joshdboz 23:09, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
