Anyone want to clean up the international carreer? It reads like it was written by an illiterate chimp. 81.158.225.26
OK, I added the clean up bit based on the previous (pre- the 'removing rant') edit of Omicronpersei8 - my reason for requesting the dit was that it was a bit unsightly having all the references in the middle of the text; I felt these need to be in the proper format (and as I don't have the skills to do this I thought I'd flag it for someone more able!)
Re. the previous bit - I quite enjoyed the rant - it certainly gave context to Gemmill's career, so I am all for having that back. Ianguy 09:05, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- To copy from my user talk page: I agree that there is some useful content here, and the "rant" label was just a quick and short-sighted explanation for my edit (which probably stemmed from what I thought was a loaded statement, "... famous for scoring one famous goal ... In fact the goal is so famous that it completely overshadows that which within others would be celebrated"). I still feel it looks more like a commentary or sports article than what is expected of an enyclopedia. If the editor comes back and fixes it, I'll be happy to go along with it. -- Omicronpersei8 09:15, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
I think this article is great. It shows the symbolic power upon Scottish cultural life that Archie Gemmill was.
