Ardingly Railway Station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ardlingly is a closed railway station in West Sussex. It is located between Horsted Keynes on the Bluebell Railway and Haywards Heath on the Brighton main line. The trackbed between Ardingly and Horsted Keynes is owned by the Bluebell Railway company. The track between Ardingly and the main London/Brighton line is in use for stone aggregate transportation. There is a long-term project by the Bluebell railway to reopen the line from the main line to Horsted Keynes.
The line was double track, and was electrified in the 1930s.
