Argonaut Elementary School

Argonaut Elementary School is a mid-sized public K-5 elementary school in Saratoga, California. The school enrolls approximately 500 students. Argonaut Elementary is located in the Saratoga Union School District. As of 2005, its current principal is Alex Chapman.

Built in the 1960s as a neighborhood school in the heart of Saratoga, Argonaut was in need of renovation by 2000. These renovations were completed in 2002 including both interior and exterior work on the school.
As the ethnic makeup of Saratoga has changed, so has Argonaut's makeup. The school now has a 2/3 majority of students of Asian ancestry, with approximately 20 percent being White, and the remaining 9 percent being of other varied backgrounds.
