Arkesden is a village and civil parish in Essex, England. It is located 7 km (5 miles) southwest of Saffron Walden and is 35 km (22 miles) northwest from the county town of Chelmsford. The village is in the district of Uttlesford and the parliamentary constituency of Saffron Walden. The village has its own Parish Council.[1]
According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 363.[citation needed]
The local village hall is Church Green Cottage and village church is St Mary's Church.[1]
