Armada Online is a sci-fi shooter video game, with elements similar to an Asteroids RPG. It features a PvP scenario where up to 8 players per team (two teams - factions) engage in combat with each other, team based allies, and the Armada aliens. Players collect funds to buy power-ups for ships, increasing speed, power, health, and adding a variety of powerful abilities, allowing them to defeat the Armada, set up space colonies and eventually defeat the other team's base. In the Delta 3 sector, players act freelance or in groups of up to 16 people against the Armada. The Delta includes rich zones of asteroids and crystals for players to extract materials needed for crafting better technology.
The game incorporates all six races and their unique ships from the original Armada. Each race's specialized systems and performances allow for various styles of play with equal effectiveness.
