Armond Colombe

Armond Colombe (July 11, 1932) was a football coach and his his team won the college super bowl for eighteen years in a row since 1969. Colombe was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1932. His father and mother were Italian immigrants. Colombe got into sports by watching baseball games at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1952, Colombe was drafted into the U.S. Army at age 20 and served in the Korean War and was discharged from service in 1954. In 1955, Colombe started a career in professional football. 1969, Colombe started a college football team and won the college super eighteen years in a row until 1988. Colombe retired eight years later in 1996 and was a football coach for 27 years.
