Arnold O. Beckman High School was opened in August 30, 2004 in Irvine, California. It was named after Arnold O. Beckman, a famous scientist and philanthropist. The school is in the Tustin Unified School District. Beckman High School broke ground in 2002. It contains a state of art facility with modern technology. It serves the communities of Tustin Ranch, Northpark, Northwood, and West Irvine. The mascot of Beckman is the Patriot.

Beckman currently has two string orchestras, the Concert Orchestra and the Festival Orchestra, the latter of which is the higher-level orchestra. Beckman also has a marching band with outstanding trumpet players, a jazz band, and two wind and percussion bands, the Concert Band and the Festival Band. Both the Festival Orchestra and Band have earned many local and regional accolades, and participate in annual Southern California music festivals, constantly earning unanimous ratings of "Superior". In May, the Festival Orchestra will be going to Carnegie Hall to perform. The Orchestra had to turn down an invitation to another national invitational in New York City in order to make time for Carnegie.
