Arthur Schafer

Arthur Schafer is a Canadian ethicist specializing in bioethics, philosophy of law, social philosophy and political philosophy. He is director of the Centre for Professional and Applied Ethics at the University of Manitoba.
Schafer was lighting rod for opponents of the Ashley Treatment thanks to his widely published opinion piece where he defended the decision of the parents to remove their daughter's breast buds and permanently stunt her growth.
