The Artists' Circle, is a fraternity based in the University of the Philippines which maintains a long history of service and association with its College of Fine Arts.
Some of their alumni now constitute a large portion of the faculty and is regarded as an institution of notable accomplishment and reputation in the Philippine art scene. The fraternity has existed since 1972 and although primarily focused on the visual arts, also has members focused in theater, literature, music, architecture and the sciences. Traditionally, initiated members are asked to take vows of selflessness and service through art. Conducting their meetings in round table is one of their distinctive feature.
The Artists' Circle holds exhibits and shows throughout the year but the most prominent is its annual exhibition, Kalipunan.
Loyalty, Humility and Determination are considered the core values of the fraternity. They drew their fraternity emblem based on the letter "A" enclosed in shape of a circle surrounded with the golden laurel wreathes, symbolic of the motto "Art is Circle". Despite the modern trend to adjust the nature of secret organizations, the Artists' Circle has kept its proceedings and rituals undisclosed and known exclusively to initiated members until now.
