Arturo Araujo
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Arturo Araujo was the president of El Salvador from 1931-03-01 to 1931-12-02. He was overthrown in a military coup led by junior officers, and was forced to flee the country for Guatemala. An agricultural leader, Araujo had been freely elected. (See the New York Times of Dec. 4, 1931 for more on this). He was later assassinated.
It is not known if Arturo Araujo was related to Manuel Enrique Araujo.
