Asheford Institute of Antiques

Asheford Institute of Antiques is a distance learning program on antiques and collectibles. Located in Destin, Florida, and Toronto, Canada, it has an annual enrollment of 1000 to 1500 students.
Founded in 1966 by Peter Green, the Course was designed to teach individuals about antiques and collectibles for both pleasure and profit. Peter Green remained the director of the Institute until 1987.
In 1988, Peter's son Charles Green, became the director and remains so today (2007). In 2003 Asheford merged with the Canadian auction house SMA. The Asheford program is currently available in 23 countries.
