Ashok is a South Indian actor and Bharatnatyam performer. He was born on 12th December in Thiruvaiyaar, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.

He learnt Bharatnatyam at the age of four and he's also trained in Western contemporary Jazz Ballet. He had performed at various stages across India and toured all over USA and Europe for dance projects. He has won several awards and honours including the coveted Nritya Mayur award for excellence in dance. Having had a formal training in acting in Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting Institute (Mumbai), Ashok has graduated with a double major in sociology and psychology from St.Xavier's College, Mumbai. He had choreographed several stage shows before venturing to act. Cinema has been a passion since his childhood. Acting was not new to him. He played the role of Little Krishna (Dancing on the Kaliya Snake..Lifting the Govardhana Mountain,etc.) in Ramanand Sagar's teleserial "Sri Krishna" for which he won the "Best Child Actor Award" from Uptron in 1994-95, which was telecast in Doordarshan. His debut movie as hero is Murugaa.
