Asian American Writers' Workshop

The Asian American Writers' Workshop is a nonprofit literary arts organization founded in support of writers, literature and community. It was founded in 1991 and based in New York City.
Mission Statement: The Asian American Writers’ Workshop is a national not-for-profit arts organization devoted to the creating, publishing, developing and disseminating of creative writing by Asian Americans.
The current executive director is Quang Bao.
Among the writers who have taught workshops at AAWW are:
- Julia Cho, playwriting
- Kimiko Hahn, poetry
- David Henry Hwang, playwriting
- Li-Young Lee, poetry
- Peeling, performance
- Beau Sia, poetry in performance
