Members of Delenn's clan decide that Delenn should return home to Minbar and justify her deepening relationship with John Sheridan. Delenn makes a discovery about her ancestry once she arrives on Minbar.

- It is learned that Delenn had given the order to go to war with humanity after the humans killed the Minbari leader Dukhat.
- It is learned the Delenn is a descendant of Valen, and one of many Minbari to be a mixture of human and Minbari as a result.

- The episode concludes with Marcus Cole singing the beginning of the Major General's Song from Gilbert and Sullivan's 1879 comic operetta The Pirates of Penzance.
- Also JMS stated a dropped plot point, that Marcus and Dr. Franklin were going to pose as newlyweds on honeymoon.
